Meet Our Development Team

David F. Lyons, CFRE

Vice President for Development

David joined Good Shepherd in May 2007 after nine years at KidsPeace as vice president of charitable giving and national director of major gifts. As vice president, he oversees all fund raising for Good Shepherd, including major and planned giving, direct mail and sponsorships. A certified fund-raising executive and development professional since 1979, he has held key positions with Cancer Care, the American Cancer Society and Felician College. He is a graduate of Kean College of New Jersey with a B.A. in elementary education and lives with his wife, Dr. Pamela Shields in Lower Macungie. Jeannette Edwards

Senior Planned Giving Officer

Jeannette joined Good Shepherd in 2007 and has more than 20 years of fundraising and 10 years of banking experience. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, and Estate Planning Council of the Lehigh Valley. She graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in business administration and social science. At Good Shepherd, Jeannette works with individual donors to match their philanthropic interests with areas of greatest need. Greg Wilson, CAP®

Sr. Major Gifts and Planned Giving Officer

Greg joined Good Shepherd Oct. 2018 with 20 years of non-profit experience. He works with our donors to fund mission supported programs and special projects and staffs The Raker Vision and Nursing and Therapy Scholarship Endowment activities. Greg joined us from Muhlenberg College where he served last as Director of Leadership Gifts & Planned Giving. Prior to Muhlenberg, he was the Senior Director of Individual Giving at the East Stroudsburg University Foundation and other key positions with the Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great and the Boy Scouts of America. He earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy from the American College of Financial Services, a Master of Science in Non-Profit Management from Eastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Lebanon Valley College. Andrew Block, MPA

Director of Government Relations and Development

Andrew joined Good Shepherd in November 2007 after serving on the staff of Congressman Charlie Dent in several key positions for six and a half years. He is an alumnus of Parkland High School and Penn State and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Kutztown University. Dianne Spengler

Corporate Foundation Relations Specialist

Dianne joined Good Shepherd in March 2017 with 14 years of non-profit experience. Throughout her career, Dianne held key positions at Sacred Heart Hospital, her most recent being an events specialist for the Foundation Department. She also worked in marketing and public relations for several years. Prior to her development career, Dianne served in the local insurance community. She lives with her family in Upper Macungie. Elizabeth McDonald

Editorial Manager/Sweet Charity

Elizabeth joined Good Shepherd in 2003 as editor of Sweet Charity magazine, continuing a writing career that began in journalism, and includes marketing and public relations. Elizabeth was nominated by her colleagues and received the Raker Spirit Award in 2011, given to the Good Shepherd associate who lives the Raker legacy of compassion and service at work and in the community.  A graduate of Montclair State College in New Jersey, Elizabeth volunteers with a hospice organization as an end-of-life doula, a therapeutic horseback riding program and her church.
