Good Shepherd’s Innovation Grant Program

The Good Shepherd Innovation Grants facilitate innovation and collaboration between Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network (GSRN) and Good Shepherd Penn Partners (GSPP) by providing financial support and development opportunities for employee-led projects that improve patient care and define the future of rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation Nurse Residency Program

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network’s Nurse Residency Program, which focuses solely on rehabilitation, is among the only programs of its kind in the country.

Our 12-month program supports nursing school graduates as they transition into their first professional nursing role through a rehabilitation setting. Good Shepherd’s residency program has adopted the evidence-based curriculum designed by Vizient (formerly University Health System Consortium) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).

Good Shepherd is proud to offer post-professional residency and fellowship programs for physical and occupational therapists to advance their career and make them leaders within their profession. Our programs help therapists become clinical experts within their specialty area of practice by providing intensive, high-quality didactic and clinical education with a strong focus on mentorship and maximizing patient outcomes.

Inpatient Rehabilitation

Our flagship inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Allentown with specialized teams of clinicians — nurses, physicians, therapists, neuropsychologists and more — working to return patients to their highest possible level of functional independence following stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputation and other traumatic injuries.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Our outpatient rehabilitation services are provided at more than 20 locations throughout eastern Pennsylvania, offering a variety of orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation services for adults and children.

Long-Term Acute Care

Our long-term acute care hospital in Bethlehem that provides care for complex respiratory, wound and other cases where patients are too ill to be discharged to skilled nursing, inpatient rehabilitation or home.

Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation

The only facility in the region offering inpatient rehabilitation and specialized programs for children with complex medical conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, complex respiratory, feeding, neonatal abstinence syndrome and non-accidental injuries.

Long-Term Care

Our two long-term care residential homes in Bethlehem and Allentown, respectively, that offer intermediate, heavy or skilled nursing care for persons with physical disabilities, including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, traumatic injury and spina bifida.
