Externship Program

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation offers unpaid, one-week Winter externships to current college students who are interested in gaining insight into non-clinical career paths in a healthcare setting.

The externship program is designed for sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in an undergraduate program. While any major may apply, this program is particularly geared toward those who are studying healthcare administration, business and other related majors.

2027 Externships

The externship is up to 24 hours total over the course of one week. Good Shepherd offers two one-week session options:

• Session Option 1: Jan. 4-8, 2027
• Session Option 2: Jan. 11-15, 2027

Deadline to apply is Oct. 23, 2026.

Internship Opportunities

Students who complete the week-long externship at Good Shepherd are encouraged to apply for a paid, three-month summer internship in the department of most interest to them.
