Multiple Sclerosis Symposium 2025
Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, in conjunction with our MS Wellness Program, will host the 2nd annual free Multiple Sclerosis Symposium from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 18 at Hyland Center for Health & Technology in Allentown.
Titled “The Impact of Technology and Innovation in MS Rehabilitation,” this event will provide education and insight from clinical experts to those living with MS and their care partners, along with offering various resources to improve quality of life.
Registration is required.
A comprehensive plan of care for those living with MS must include rehabilitative services along with other complementary care options to augment traditional medical treatments. MS is an unpredictable, chronic and often debilitating disease that spans one’s lifetime. As a result, patients require education/information on all potential treatment options to live their best lives.
During this event, participants will have the opportunity to spend the morning learning from Good Shepherd’s clinical experts. Our physical medicine and rehabilitation physician team, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy will focus on various low and hi-tech devices available as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation care plan.
After lunch, participants will learn about community resources for people living with MS before having the opportunity to hear about creating an exercise wellness plan including benefits and pitfalls from the leader of our MS Wellness Program.
In addition, participants will have time to peruse displayed exhibitor tables for various products and resources.
