If you are an adult with a communication disorder who has completed a speech therapy program, Good Shepherd’s Communication Skills Group can help you maintain the skills you acquired in therapy. The weekly group, which is led by a certified speech and language pathologist, allows you to use speech and language strategies to interact with others and it’s a great way to meet new people.

Who can this group help?
Our group is ideal for people with:
- Aphasia
- Dysarthia
- Apraxia of speech
- Cognitive-communication disorders
Activities are focused on:
- Understanding and participating in social conversations
- Asking and responding to questions
- Speaking clearly and with less hesitation
- Communicating with gestures, drawing, pictures and more when speaking is difficult
- Using strategies to improve overall communication
When:
The group meets virtually via Zoom every Thursday from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cost:
The cost is $11 per session and no doctor prescription is required.
