What Is FEES?

  • An outpatient procedure using a small, flexible endoscope inserted through the nose to evaluate swallowing

  • Performed by a specialized, trained speech-language pathologist to identify swallowing difficulties and aspiration risks

  • Provides real-time imaging for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
