Through a partnership with Lehigh University, faculty at Lehigh also serve as research scientists at Good Shepherd, bringing the best of academic research and real-world care together.

These dual roles embed leading scholars into Good Shepherd’s clinical settings to co-develop practical solutions for improving rehabilitation care and outcomes in a number of ways:

  • Access new tools, techniques and discoveries developed through the partnership
  • Publish research
  • Integrate engineering, neuroscience and data science expertise into Good Shepherd’s programs
  • Identify and solve real-world challenges with evidence-based innovation
  • Allow opportunities for Good Shepherd clinicians to propose ideas for what research should focus on — directly influencing future studies in our field
  • Present findings at conferences, contribute to journals, and bring innovation to the bedside
