BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Good Shepherd Rehabilitation’s Women’s Giving Circle, a group especially for women seeking to make a philanthropic difference, gifted $57,500 this year to support funding of new technology at Good Shepherd’s pediatric unit.
Open to all women interested in supporting the mission of Good Shepherd and enhancing the lives of people with disabilities, Women’s Giving Circle raises funding each year and directs it to a Good Shepherd initiative, which is voted on by the group.
At the Women’s Group June 2025 meeting, pediatric physical therapist Dakota Dione (pictured above, second from left) learned the group selected her proposal for a functional electrical stimulation bike.
The technology helps children diagnosed with spinal cord injury, brain injury, cerebral palsy and neurological and genetic disorders as young as 4 years of age by:
In particular, this technology will be used as part of Good Shepherd’s Jump Start Program, an intensive, short-term inpatient rehabilitation program at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit in Bethlehem.
Thank you to Women’s Giving Circle for your generosity and support.
