39th Annual Learn to Golf Clinic
Join us at Saucon Valley Country Club, 2050 Saucon Valley Road, on July 28 for the 39th Annual NAGA (National Amputee Golf Assocation) First Swing and Learn to Golf Clinic.
The first of its kind in the United States, the free NAGA First Swing Seminar and Learn to Golf Clinic teaches the basics of golf to individuals with disabilities and also teaches therapists and golf professionals how to instruct people in adaptive golf techniques.
If you have always wanted to take a swing at the game of golf, join other therapists and individuals with disabilities from the community at this energizing clinic.
The hands-on clinic for golfers will:
- Introduce and review basic golf techniques to improve functional skills, such as range of motion and balance
- Provide an opportunity to experience the SoloRider golf cart with a swivel seat; this technology allows people with disabilities access to golf from a sitting or standing position with support from the cart
- Introduce special equipment, such as adaptive golf clubs and accessories
The “First Swing” seminar for therapists and golf pros costs $30. CEU credits are available.

Agenda
First Swing Seminar (Therapists and Golf Pros only)
8-9 a.m.
Classroom discussion covering the basic techniques of golf, including rules and special equipment. Therapists will experience some of the challenges individuals with disabilities must overcome to play the game.
Learn to Golf Clinic (Golfers and Therapists)
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Therapists will teach golf to people with disabilities under the direction of “Learn to Golf” instructors consisting of local golf pros and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation staff members.
