Celebrating 30 Years of CARF Accreditation

In 2026, we’re celebrating 30 years of CARF International accreditation at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation.

Good Shepherd’s original accreditation with CARF, an independent, non-profit accrediting organization that works to ensure high standards of care and quality are met by its accredited inpatient rehabilitation providers, dates back to 1996.

Today, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit feature a combined six CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation programs:

• Overall Inpatient Rehabilitation (adult & pediatric)
• Stroke Specialty (adult)
• Brain Injury Specialty (adult)
• Spinal Cord Injury Specialty (adult)
• Amputation Specialty (adult)
• Pediatric Specialty

CARF accreditation is the gold standard for rehabilitation providers. To receive accreditation, organizations like Good Shepherd undergo a rigorous peer-review process and demonstrate to a team of surveyors their program is of the highest quality.
