UPDATE TO JAN. 11 INCIDENT: We want to reassure the community that no patients, residents or staff were involved, and there is no ongoing risk to the public or to our campus. All of our locations are operating on a regular schedule. The former Allentown Rehabilitation Hospital, where the incident occurred, has not been in operation since 2023 when Good Shepherd moved the hospital to Center Valley. The matter is now part of an active investigation by the Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office. For confirmed details, we encourage the media to refer to the District Attorney’s official statement. We remain committed to the safety and security of everyone on our campus and will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement.
