We specialize in treatment of spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, major multi-trauma, pulmonary disease, respiratory failure, musculoskeletal/orthopedics and complex pediatric conditions.

Headquartered in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Good Shepherd provides inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care, long-term care, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) physician services and rehabilitation neuropsychology services for people of all ages and abilities.

  • Good Shepherd partners with Penn Medicine to provide rehabilitation services in the greater Philadelphia area and New Jersey through a joint venture called Good Shepherd Penn Partners (GSPP).
  • One of four organizations internationally to be named a Center for Robotic Excellence by Ekso Bionics 
  • Nearly 500,000 outpatient visits annually at more than 40 outpatient locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
  • 2,500 admissions to inpatient rehabilitation and long-term acute care hospitals
  • Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for six specialty programs; CARF accreditation is the gold standard in rehab care, and Good Shepherd is the only provider in the region to earn six accreditations.

Research at Good Shepherd is dedicated to connecting clinical practice, research and patient outcomes in order to advance the field of rehabilitation. The Research Department and Research Committee provide employees with education, mentorship and guidance so you can develop and lead investigations. 

Innovation Grants were created to establish Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and GSPP as nationally recognized leaders in rehabilitation science, education and practice by creating a culture of collaboration, critical inquiry and innovation through funding, education and mentorship opportunities.

Good Shepherd is constructing an industry-leading rehabilitation hospital that focuses on highly specialized rehabilitative care for stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury and other complex medical conditions.
