What is Neurorehabilitation?
Neurorehabilitation is physical medicine and therapy services customized and delivered to individuals that suffer from disorders of the nervous system. Though Neurorehabilitation can look and feel different for each person, the primary goals are to optimize function, reduce impairment and maximize quality of life.

Neurorehabilitation Program
Neurorehabilitation at Good Shepherd consists of physical medicine management. This is undertaken by a team of highly trained physiatrists. These physiatrists specialize in pain, function, rehabilitation and medical management.
Good Shepherd provides neurorehabilitation, which utilizes physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapies. These therapies aim to better movement, help with everyday tasks, enhance vocalization and swallowing and foster participation in engaging activities. Specialized care teams customize evaluation and treatment efforts to address pain, movement disorders, cognitive impairments and limitations in every day activities. Neurorehabilitation at Good Shepherd also consists of team members with Psychology Services, Dietary Services, Case Management.
