Pelvic pain can occur in both men and women and significantly impact many activities associated with normal daily function, including going to the bathroom and sexual intercourse. The cause of pelvic pain can arise from your digestive, reproductive or urinary system. Treatment depends on the cause of the pain.

Good Shepherd offers specialized pelvic floor rehabilitation services for women and men with pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic floor disorders and pelvic pain. Our goal is to help restore function and reduce pain.

What Is Pelvic Floor Therapy?

Pelvic floor therapy is a noninvasive treatment approach that uses the principles of physical therapy to provide a structured, effective and safe reconditioning of pelvic floor muscles. The goal of the treatment is to restore function of pelvic floor muscles and alleviate pain, weakness and dysfunction in the muscles.

Good Shepherd’s team of experts, with specialized training, will pinpoint the cause of pain and will recommend a personalized treatment approach.
