The Good Shepherd Pediatrics Early Intervention Program is a provider of Early Intervention developmental care for children from birth to 3 years old.
Services are available in Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Schuylkill counties.
Early Intervention services, which include physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or speech therapy, are designed to meet the developmental needs of children with disabilities. Services also meet the family’s needs related to enhancing a child’s development in one or more of the following areas:
- Physical development, including vision and hearing
- Cognitive development
- Communication development
- Social or emotional development
- Adaptive development, including feeding and sensory processing
Early Intervention Services Eligibility
As determined by the county, program eligibility includes:
- Significant delay in one or more areas of development
- Specialist’s determination that a delay is evident despite not showing up on assessments
- Known physical or mental condition that has high potential for developmental delays
