Driving Programs

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation offers two on-the-road driving evaluation and training programs, depending on your needs.

Good Shepherd’s Safe Driver Evaluation and Training Program is designed for people with physical or cognitive disabilities (e.g., stroke or spinal cord injury) or older adults wanting to extend their driving years. Our team assesses an individual’s ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, with or without adaptive driving aids.

Program evaluations provide physicians with objective data for use in completing medical forms for the State Bureau of Driver Qualifications.

Individuals can self-refer or be referred to the program by a physician prescription, workers’ compensation or the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR).

Good Shepherd’s Adaptive Driving Program helps individuals who have a physical or cognitive change or disability.

We assess our client’s ability to drive with and without adaptive driving devices and provide any necessary training.

Individuals can self-refer or be referred to the program by a physician prescription, workers’ compensation or the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR).
