Robin Brewer

March 2011

Robin Brewer, a resident of the Good Shepherd Home Conrad W. Raker Center since 1991, passed away on March 7 after a brief illness. The daughter of Chester and Bette Brewer, Robin was the youngest of four children. Her twin brothers had been diagnosed with the same neurodegenerative disorder as Robin and had been residents of the Good Shepherd Home. They preceded her in death. Before coming to Good Shepherd, Robin lived in New Jersey where she attended a workshop for people with cerebral palsy. Her creative spirit found an outlet in ceramics, woodworking and weaving. Robin’s life at Good Shepherd was filled with love, friendship and fun. She enjoyed community outings, special events at the home, attending the annual resident ball, and participating in the garden club, the craft group and “book chatter” with fellow residents. Pink was a favorite color and she wore it well. A woman of great faith, Robin’s smile lit up a room. Her joy of being will be greatly missed by all.

Online memorial gifts to Good Shepherd may be made in Robin’s memory or can be sent to: Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, Development Department, 850 S. Fifth Street, Allentown, PA 18103.
