Each summer, Good Shepherd offers a Summer Youth Program that’s fun and rewarding.
- There are positions for approximately 30 applicants between age 14 through college.
- Volunteers must commit to serving at least four hours a week during the summer.
- Volunteers are required to attend a three-hour orientation with Good Shepherd’s volunteer department and be trained by the department where they will serve. Orientations take place at the site where students will serve.
Scholastic Volunteers
Students may complete school-assigned community service hours of 30 hours or more at various Good Shepherd locations. School-sponsored volunteer release-time internships and arrangements with home-schooled students can also be accommodated.
Continuing Youth Volunteers
Positions are available to youth volunteers in various Good Shepherd departments throughout the year. Hours will be arranged to provide students the opportunity to serve at Good Shepherd and also maintain their school schedules.
