Ayanna S. Kersey-McMullen, DO, MSPH, Joins Good Shepherd Physician Group

Ayanna S. Kersey-McMullen, DO, MSPH, a physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) physician, has joined the staff of Good Shepherd Physician Group as staff physiatrist. Dr. Kersey-McMullen will see patients at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, Allentown, and Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital, Bethlehem.

Dr. Kersey-McMullen specializes in stroke rehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine, osteopathic manipulation and concussion management. Her special interests include performing arts rehabilitation and integrative and lifestyle medicine. She sees outpatients at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Allentown and Good Shepherd Physical Therapy – Bethlehem/Performing Arts Rehabilitation Center.

Dr. Kersey-McMullen earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. She received her master’s degree in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Dr. Kersey-McMullen completed her residency in PM&R at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Baltimore, Maryland, and her osteopathic internship with St. Joseph’s Hospital/North Philadelphia Health System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Kersey-McMullen is certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and is board eligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She is a 2015 recipient of the Hopkins Healer Award for excellence in patient care.
