Good Shepherd Team (Virtually) Bikes To Support National MS Society

November 02, 2020

Although COVID-19 changed the format this year, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network still fielded a team and gave it their all for the Bike MS: City to Shore 2020 in support of the National MS Society.

Bike MS: City to Shore is an annual two-day event between Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore that attracts more than 7,000 cyclists to support the National MS Society. Good Shepherd is a “Partner in Care,” as designated by the National MS Society. The race, which switched to a virtual format this year, offers route options for all cycling abilities, from 25 miles to 175 miles.

The Good Shepherd team — consisting of GSRN and Good Shepherd Penn Partners staff members, former patients, neighbors and family — divvied up routes for the virtual race. Team members then completed their designated routes outdoors or indoors.

“We hope to be back on the road next year, crossing the finish line in Ocean City, New Jersey, together,” said Emily Ackerman, MS Wellness Program manager, and organizer of Good Shepherd’s team.
