Ayanna S. Kersey-McMullen, DO, MSPH, Medical Director, Stroke Rehabilitation Program, is now board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine.

Ayanna S. Kersey-McMullen, DO, MSPH, Medical Director, Stroke Rehabilitation Program, is now board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine.

“Lifestyle medicine utilizes elements and interventions related to a whole food diet, physical activity, stress management, emotional wellness, sleep, avoidance of risky substance use and positive psychology, alongside evidence-based medications, to help people maintain, manage or reverse chronic disease,” says Dr. Kersey-McMullen, who treats outpatients at the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, 850 S. 5th Street, Allentown.

Also board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Kersey-McMullen serves as medical director of Good Shepherd’s Stroke Rehabilitation Program, as well as the Integrative Wellness and Wellness in the Arts programs.

A member of the Good Shepherd Physician Group, Dr. Kersey-McMullen’s areas of focus include stroke, musculoskeletal medicine, osteopathic manipulation and concussion management.

Dr. Kersey-McMullen graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. She completed her residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Baltimore.
