PT's and OT's can earn CEUs at Good Shepherd’s CoolTech class. All other attendees will receive a cerificate of attendance.This free event is especially designed for the Early Intervention clinician and will provide an introduction to today’s assistive device technology for children from birth to three years of age.
CoolTech will be led by Good Shepherd assistive technology specialist, Wanda Kolipinksi, COTA/L, ATP, ATS, CBIS, IMC. Wanda has more than 30 years of experience in occupational therapy and 25 years of experience in assistive technology. She has been credentialed by RESNA as an Assistive Technology Professional and holds a certification from Penn State University as an Assistive Technology Specialist.
Participants will be able to:
- identify at least 5 opportunities for assistive technology within the early intervention service delivery model
- differentiate between low and high tech devices as they relate to the birth to three early intervention population
- identify 5 apps that are appropriate for use with the birth to three early intervention population
- recall 5 resources to further their knowledge and access to assistive technology
