Message from Our Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer

Nurses and nursing assistants play a crucial role in the health and well-being of our communities. This became even more apparent in recent years as the pandemic challenged health-care systems and communities across the country; and, it continues to do so.

The importance of post-acute care in the care continuum was also highlighted during the past two years as emergency rooms and acute tertiary hospitals became challenged with managing volume.

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network proudly provides acute inpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care and long-term care to Eastern Pennsylvania communities. Our Nursing team is paramount to Good Shepherd’s success as a free-standing post-acute network.

I am truly honored to lead the Nursing Department. Our accomplishments within the last year, which continue to be top priorities, include:

  • Developing and implementing a Just Culture
  • Focusing on retaining our staff
  • Planning for a new acute rehabilitation hospital
  • Supporting nursing workflow
  • Beginning the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Pathways to Excellence journey

Employee centricity, evidence-based clinical care and excellent patient experience are our pillars.

If you are part of the Good Shepherd Nursing team, I have profound gratitude for your perseverance and commitment to our patients, residents and colleagues.

If you are looking for an exciting opportunity in three different post-acute specialties, I invite you to visit us and consider a career in this exciting aspect of patient/resident care. I look forward to welcoming you to Good Shepherd!
