Boxing Keeps Parkinson’s Patients Stickin’ and Movin’

Thanks to exercise programs like Good Shepherd’s Rock Steady Boxing program, Parkinson’s patients can feel like they control the disease, rather than the other way around.

Good Shepherd’s Dori Billowitch, PTA, details how in the recent issue of Lehigh County Health & Medicine magazine:

“Research shows that high intensity, whole-body exercise like boxing can slow the disease’s progression, lessen the symptoms, pull people out of their comfort zone and offer a fun, social, team-like setting.”
