Most Patients Get Better Results
in Less Time
Patients who receive inpatient care at Good Shepherd see more functional improvement in a shorter time than at other rehabilitation providers. Follow-up studies three months after discharge show that Good Shepherd’s patients retain their functional improvements better than patients who receive care elsewhere.
A test called the functional independence measure™ (FIM) is used to determine the amount of progress patients make during their inpatient stay – the higher the FIM score, the more improvement the patient has shown.
Length of stay efficiency combines FIM scores (how much improvement a patient has shown) with length of stay (how many days before discharge). The higher the number, the better the efficiency of your rehabilitation. |
