Vocational Evaluation

Through the Good Shepherd Work Services Vocational Evaluation Program, each client received a comprehensive assessment of his or her work-related physical, mental and emotional abilities and limitations. Then, a unique employment program is developed for each client.

Vocational Testing Identifies:

• Academic achievement levels
• Work aptitudes and abilities
• Vocational interests
• Work attitudes and personality characteristics

Computer Access Assessment:

• Computer aptitude assessment in word processing, database operations, data entry and computer programming
• Specialized training in the use of adaptive hardware and software
• Computer skills training in specific computer functions or software to upgrade or refresh skills

On-Site Work Assessments in Vocational Areas of Interest:

• Child care      
• Computer operation
• Food service
• Housekeeping
• Laundry
• Production work
• Sales and customer service
• Warehousing 

There are numerous funding sources available for Vocational Services.  These include the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Administration and the Lehigh and Northampton County MH/MR.
