Inez Donley, a longtime friend and donor to Good Shepherd, passed away at age 97 on January 27, 2013. Inez made a major gift along with her husband Ed, former Air Products and Chemicals chairman, through their family foundation in 2003 establishing The Donley Family Pediatrics Endowment. The gift, supporting the Developmental Pediatrics Program, was made during Good Shepherd’s Investing in the Future capital campaign and it created a perpetual source of funds for thousands of children with disabilities, many who have difficulty developing normally or struggle with the fundamentals of learning.
At the time, the gift capped 30 years of the Donley’s involvement with Good Shepherd, dating back to Inez’s volunteer work with the late Rev. Dr. Conrad Raker, son of Good Shepherd’s founders. The Donley’s were recipients of Good Shepherd’s Raker Memorial Award in 2003.
