A Well-Deserved Award

September 19, 2013

Good Shepherd paid honor to long-time volunteer Bob Ford of Salisbury Township as the first recipient of the Bob Ford Volunteer Leadership Award at the Good Shepherd Golf & Tennis Invitational on Monday, September 9, at Saucon Valley Country Club.

The award was created to honor a volunteer for exceptional commitment to Good Shepherd and its mission by coordinating, motivating and inspiring other volunteers to achieve fund raising goals.

Bob has served as chair, assistant chair, and most recently, honorary chair of the Golf & Tennis Invitational, devoting countless hours to the event which raises funds for the Good Shepherd Pediatric Program.

"I believe in Good Shepherd's mission and all that it has accomplished since its 105 years of service," said Bob, a former executive of Black & Decker. "To know that the proceeds from each year's tournament help the children who need Good Shepherd's services the most is very important to me."

Congratulations Bob for a well-deserved award!
