Starlight Foundation Donates iPads to Pediatric Program
September 19, 2013
At Good Shepherd's outpatient Pediatric Program, technology is increasingly playing a powerful therapeutic role in the lives of children with disabilities. So with a grateful heart, Good Shepherd's therapists were delighted to receive three iPads from the Starlight Children's Foundation in Philadelphia.
"We are so thankful for this gift," says Jodie Moulton, a pediatric speech therapist. "These iPads give our therapists access to fun new ways to help our patients. The kids love them and it's technology like this that gives us even more tools to connect with children in unique and highly effective ways."
Starlight, a leading global charity that partners with experts to improve the life and health of children and families around the world, donated 41 iPads, called Starlight Tablets, to 11 hospitals and health care facilities in and around Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley. The donations were made possible through a partnership with Philadelphia Tri-State Cadillac dealers and CBS EcoMedia Inc.
You too can make a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities. Please, make an online gift today! Thank you.
