Independent Living facility allows offers accessible living arrangements for low-income adults with physical disabilities. This unique housing complex is designed specifically for persons with severe disabilities and is funded by Good Shepherd, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh. Grosse And Quade Management Company serves as the facility’s sponsor and property manager.
Located at the intersection of South Sixth and Saint John Street in Allentown, Good Shepherd’s Supported Independent Living facility is a technology-enhanced building which provides a cost-effective living alternative for those who would otherwise have no choice but to live in a nursing home. Best of all, this state-of-the-art facility allows people with disabilities to live a dignified, independent lifestyle in a home they can call their own.
