Trexo Plus
Good Shepherd Pediatrics is proud to be one of a handful of “Centers of Excellence” in the U.S. to pioneer Trexo Plus, an innovative device that offers supported locomotion training to children.
The advanced, wearable technology provides pediatric patients with lower-extremity weakness and/or spasticity an engaging way to get on their feet and walk — maybe even for the first time.

The NTrainer System®
The NTrainer System®, is the first in-market FDA-approved technology that helps pre-term infants learn to suck on a pacifier, and then ultimately to drink from a bottle or the breast. Good Shepherd Pediatrics is the only pediatric rehabilitation hospital east of Nebraska using the system.

ZeroG®
The ZeroG® Gait and Balance System, a state-of-the-art device available in the Health & Technology Center in Allentown, allows therapists to practice intensive physical therapy earlier in a child’s outpatient rehabilitation. Using an overhead track and harness system, the ZeroG® allows patients to safely practice skills such as walking, crawling and stair climbing.
ZeroG can be used for a wide range of patients with all levels of traumatic injuries and acquired or congenital disorders, including:
- Amputation
- Cerebral palsy
- Hypotonia
- Incomplete spinal cord injury
- Orthopedic injuries
- Paralysis
- Spina bifida
- Stroke and spinal stroke
- Traumatic brain injury
Vital Stim®
The Vital Stim® Therapy System provides safe and effective treatment for patients experiencing dysphagia or difficulty swallowing. Good Shepherd provides innovative dysphagia and feeding therapy for children of all ages who have difficulty swallowing, are feeding-tube dependent and/or have difficulty advancing food textures.
Good Shepherd is one of the few institutions in the area that provides this mode of therapy to children.
Interactive Metronome®
Interactive Metronome® (IM) Services use patented technology based on rhythm and timing to improve your child’s attention and coordination. Interactive Metronome trains the brain to plan, sequence, and process information more effectively. Wearing a headset that delivers a computer-generated beat, trainees repeat a series of precise hand and foot exercises.
IM can be used to help children and teens better deal with ADHD and other challenges.
