Amazing things are happening every day in the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit [4]. Children are learning or relearning how to talk, walk, eat, laugh and play. They are getting back on their feet after serious accidents or surgeries and receiving the support they need to maximize their function at home and in the community.
At Good Shepherd, we are committed to helping children reach their potential and live full, independent lives. To that end, we are dedicated to working closely with the payor community to ensure that all appropriate children have the opportunity to benefit from our programs or services.
Good Shepherd’s clinical care team is available to answer any questions or to provide any necessary documentation. Kimberly Kuchinski, M.D., M.P.H. [5], our pediatric physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, will perform a comprehensive pre-admission evaluation of any child who could benefit from inpatient rehabilitation care. She will then gladly draft a letter of medical necessity in appropriate instances.
