Good Shepherd Receives Pepperpot Awards from Public Relations Society of America, Philadelphia Chapter12/7/2009
Web Site and Be Well Newsletter Are Honored
Allentown, PA – Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network was recently honored with two Pepperpot Awards from the Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Good Shepherd’s official web site  and its Be Well consumer newsletter  were awarded for excellence in marketing and communication. The awards were presented at a ceremony at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia.
“We are especially pleased to receive these honors because of the impressive competition for these awards,” said Patty Pologruto, director of Marketing & Communications at Good Shepherd. “Good Shepherd’s work stood out among large advertising agencies, corporations and hospitals from the greater Philadelphia region.”
The Philadelphia Chapter of PRSA began awarding Pepperpots  in 1968. Each year, awards are presented in more than 25 categories, honoring superior public relations programs and a variety of marketing and communication tactics. Entries are judged and winners are selected by PRSA chapters from other regions of the country.
Good Shepherd’s web site, www.GoodShepherdRehab.org , was recently redesigned to improve its navigation and content, and to develop more interactive site features. Since the redesign, the site has seen an increase in visitors and an increase in the number of appointments requested online. The site now features video, a calendar of events, up-to-date information on patient outcomes, more content relating to Good Shepherd’s programs and services, and a blog focusing on rehabilitation topics and tips. The Good Shepherd web site was designed by Klunk & Millan Advertising , Breinigsville.
The Be Well consumer newsletter was sent directly to the homes of individuals in Good Shepherd’s service area. The newsletter includes health and wellness tips, healthy recipes and information pertaining to Good Shepherd’s rehabilitation services. Content from Be Well is also available online . Be Well was published as a cooperative between Good Shepherd and Baldwin Publishing , Lambertville, New Jersey.
