Good Shepherd Receives $25,000 Grant to Benefit Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit11/12/2009
ALLENTOWN, PA - Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network has received a $25,000 grant from the Wachovia Wells Fargo Foundation benefitting the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit . The grant will support access to inpatient rehabilitation services for children at the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit. It will also aid clinical start-up programs and help purchase pediatric assistive technology. These funds will serve as a complement to a grant Wachovia Wells Fargo Foundation awarded to Good Shepherd’s outpatient pediatric program last year.
The Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit is the first of its kind in the greater Lehigh Valley region and provides acute rehabilitation services for children following an accident, injury or illness. Conditions treated include stroke, brain injury, multiple trauma, spinal cord injury, congenital disorders and neuromuscular disorders.
