Programs available at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation-CedarPointe:
-
Physical Therapy: Working closely with your referring physician, Good Shepherd's staff will develop a therapy program that is designed especially for you. We specialize in physical therapy for back injuries, neurological conditions, musculoskeletal and work injuries, sports injuries, joint replacement, pain management and osteoarthritis.
-
Aquatic Therapy: Our heated therapeutic pool offers an environment for stretching and strengthening muscles while reducing pain through warmth, controlled weight-bearing and reduced joint stress. Aquatic therapy increases circulation, respiratory rate, muscle metabolism, strength, flexibility and ease of movement. A full spectrum of one-on-one programs are offered for treatment of arthritis pain, back pain, shoulder, hip and knee problems, physical deconditioning, fibromyalgia and multi-trauma injuries.

Vestibular Rehabilitation: Our Vestibular Rehabilitation Program is designed to identify, evaluate and treat patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), where individuals experience brief periods of dizziness when their head is moved into certain positions, especially when the ear is facing downward.
-
Work Injury Rehabilitation: With state-of-the-art evaluation tools and a certified evaluator, our work injury program provides comprehensive management of work injuries, including Functional Capacity Evaluations.
-
Case Management: We provide case management services for patients, from the initial referral to discharge. Our staff works closely with your referring physician, employer and insurance carrier to ensure that your progress is carefully documented and communicated. Our case managers serve as liaison between our rehabilitation team and your employer, coordinate all onsite services for employers (job analysis, ergonomic evaluation, back school), provide case resolution and serve as resources for physician panel development.
-
Speech Therapy: We offer various diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for language, speech and cognitive problems in both children and adults. We specialize in therapy for patients who have communication problems related to developmental speech and language delays, neurological injuries and illnesses, central auditory processing disorders, Pervasive Development Disorder (PDD) and autism, fluency problems and voice disorders.
