Pediatric Hospitalist Joins Staff of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit
Allentown, PA – Rosauro A. Dalope, M.D., F.A.A.P., a board-certified pediatrician, has joined the staff of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit, the only inpatient rehabilitation unit for children in the Lehigh Valley region. As the unit’s pediatric hospitalist, Dr. Dalope provides medical services to children whose serious injuries or illnesses require acute inpatient rehabilitation.
Dr. Dalope comes to Good Shepherd with 15 years of experience in pediatrics. Most recently, Dr. Dalope was a staff pediatrician at Lehigh Valley Hospital & Health Network’s Children’s Clinic in Allentown. Prior to that, he was a staff pediatrician at St. Christopher’s Hospital Child and Adolescent Practice, as well as St. Joseph’s Hospital and Girard Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Dalope has had numerous academic appointments, including clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Penn State School of Medicine, clinical associate professor in the De Sales University Physician Assistant Program and clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
Dr. Dalope earned his medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in Manila. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and a fellowship in General Pediatrics Faculty Development, also at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit opened on July 1, 2009, at 2855 Schoenersville Rd., Bethlehem. It is the only inpatient rehabilitation unit of its kind in the region, serving children with special needs and various acquired and congenital diagnoses, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, trauma, congenital anomalies and chronic diseases.
