Patient Outcomes for Good Shepherd's Outpatient Rehabilitation FacilitiesGood Shepherd offers outpatient rehabilitation at sites throughout eastern Pennsylvania. Our objective is to help improve your function and independence. Whether you want to get back to work, back on the golf course or back to your garden, we strive to help you meet your goals. At Good Shepherd, we are committed to objectively measuring the functional improvement and satisfaction of our patients. Below is a glimpse at our most recent outpatient outcomes. The following data was collected between January 1, 2011 and March 31, 2011. The data encompasses all of Good Shepherd’s outpatient locations. For more information on Good Shepherd's clinical outcomes, please contact Susan Lee, MS, Director of Organization Development and Performance, at 610-778-9266.
During the first appointment in one of Good Shepherd’s outpatient locations, patients answer computerized questions to rate their current functional status (range of motion, pain, ability to perform daily tasks, etc.). At their last therapy appointment, patients rate their functional status once again. The improvement in function during rehabilitation is called Functional Health Change. A higher number represents more improvement.
