Orthopedic Outcomes for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation HospitalAt Good Shepherd’s inpatient rehabilitation facilities, we are dedicated to getting you home quicker and with more functional independence than other rehabilitation facilities in the region and nation. Below is a glimpse at our most recent patient outcomes for patients with joint replacement and orthopedic conditions. The following data was collected between October 1 and December 31, 2009. For more information on Good Shepherd's clinical outcomes, please contact Susan Lee, MS, Director of Organization Development and Performance, at 610-778-9266.
A test called the functional independence measure™ (FIM) is used to determine the amount of progress patients make during their inpatient stay – the higher the FIM score, the more improvement the patient has shown. Length of stay efficiency combines FIM scores (how much improvement a patient has shown) with length of stay (how many days before discharge). The higher the number, the better the efficiency of your rehabilitation.
These numbers pertain to Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital-Allentown and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. For more information on Good Shepherd programs and services, contact us today or call 1-888-44-REHAB (24 hours a day, 365 days a year). |
