Hand Therapy
Hand therapy focuses on the functional rehabilitation of the upper extremities. Hand therapy is provided for:
- Post-operative/traumatic wound and scar management
- Upper extremity fractures
- Acute traumatic tendon injuries to the hand and wrist
- Overuse injuries including tendinitis of the upper extremity. Treatment includes anti-inflammatory modalities, splinting, stretching, strengthening, and job modification.
- Arthritis management including patient education on joint protection, adaptive equipment, and splinting.

Neurorehabilitation
Neurorehabilitation involves the assessment of the functional status of individuals with neurological disorders including spinal cord injury, brain injury, and stroke. Specific neurorehabilitation services include:
- Evaluation of individual patient needs in regard to the performance of daily activities
- Treatment focused on the neurodevelopmental techniques which will help develop and restore movement patterns needed to accomplish day-to-day tasks
- Training with adaptive equipment and/or in therapeutic techniques designed to help compensate for functional loss.

Burn Care
Good Shepherd offers comprehensive burn care services including the measurement and fitting of burn garments and thermoplastic facemasks. Therapeutic intervention to preserve range of motion and function of burned areas is also provided.

Custom Splinting
Custom splinting assists with the healing of cumulative and acute traumatic injuries and promotes protected tendon gliding after hand and wrist surgery.
