Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network Honors Volunteers
The Rev. Dr. Conrad W. Raker Volunteer Award Was Presented to Diane Washburn of Allentown

Allentown—Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network recently honored its volunteers during a recognition dinner and luncheon event. Good Shepherd has 364 volunteers who pledged 24,005 hours of volunteer service to the organization in 2007. Good Shepherd’s volunteers range in age from 14 to 90 and perform a range of duties, from assisting long-term care residents with activities such as bowling to escorting hospital patients to rehabilitation sessions.

The Rev. Dr. Conrad W. Raker Volunteer Award was given to Diane Washburn of Allentown. Washburn has been an active volunteer at the Good Shepherd Home at Conrad W. Raker Center for six years, where she assists long-term care residents with feeding and transportation to community events. In 2007, she volunteered 727 total hours.

Other volunteers who were honored for their hours of service were: Lewis Grammes of Slatington, 982 hours; Jeffery Butz of Allentown, 724 hours; Harry Person of Mertztown, 723 hours; Deb Heft of Allentown, 702 hours; Diane Sofka of Allentown, 630 hours; Michelle Botelho of Center Valley, 598 hours; and Dot Thiel of Telford, 522 hours.

Volunteers with 20 or more years of service are: Beverly Seibert of Allentown, 48 years; Shirley McCormick of Allentown, 29 years; Milly Nagle of Catasauqua, 29 years; Carol and Richard Vorholy of Bethlehem, 28 years; Mary Dreisbach of Allentown, 27 years; Lucille Stephens of Allentown, 27 years; Joseph Koch of Bethlehem, 26 years; Shirley Baum of Allentown, 25 years; Maur Levan of Allentown, 24 years; Ruth Morgan of Bethlehem, 24 years; Patricia Engler of Allentown, 22 years; and Janet Frederick of Allentown, 21 years.

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network, based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is a nationally recognized rehabilitation leader, offering a continuum of care for people with physical and cognitive disabilities and specializing in assistive and rehabilitation technology.
