Good Shepherd to Host Educational Seminar for Treatment of Developmental Disorders In Children
The Lecture is Titled "Praxis: Evaluation and Treatment of the Clumsy Child"

Allentown, PA—Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network will host a two-day educational seminar called "Praxis: Evaluation and Treatment of the Clumsy Child," on April 25-26, 2008, at the Good Shepherd Home at Conrad W. Raker Center, 850 S. Fifth St., Allentown.

The seminar will be led by Barbara H. Connolly, PT, EdD, FAPTA, president of the International Organization of Physical Therapists in Pediatrics, a subgroup of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy. Dr. Connolly will provide practical and effective intervention strategies for children with developmental incoordination disorders. The course curriculum will include a discussion of evaluation tools that can be used in assessment of children with suspected disorders, as well as treatment techniques and strategic planning inside the classroom. Functional outcomes and clinical effectiveness of treatments for children with developmental disorders will also be emphasized throughout the seminar.
