Good Shepherd Announces Medical Staff Appointments

Allentown—The Good Shepherd Board of Trustees approved the following appointments to Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network’s Medical Staff in June and July 2004.

Marie Buschi, MD will join the Consulting Staff at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital - Bethlehem. Dr. Buschi received her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and currently has a private practice in Bethlehem.

Clinton Holumzer, MD will join the Consulting Staff at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital - Allentown. Dr. Holumzer received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is associated with Muhlenberg Primary Care, PC in Bethlehem.

Sultan Siddique, MD will join the Active Staff at Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital - Allentown. Dr. Siddique received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. He also completed a Cardiology Fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and an Electrophysiology Fellowship at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He is certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is associated with The Heart Care Group in Allentown.

Gregory M. Stout, DO will join the Active Staff at Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital - Allentown and the Consulting Staff at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital - Allentown. Dr. Stout received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He is associated with Peters, Caccese, Scott in Allentown.

Julio Torres, MD will join the Consulting Staff at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital - Allentown. Dr. Torres received his medical degree from Pontificia University Javeriana School of Medicine in Bogotá, Columbia, and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y. He also completed a Hematology/Oncology Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, and a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, N.Y. His now owns a private practice in Bethlehem.

Daniel Valancius, MD will join the Active Staff at Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital - Allentown. Dr. Valancius receive his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is associated with Lehigh Area Medical Associates.

Shawn Wu, MD, PhD will join the Consulting Staff at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital at Pocono Medical Center. Dr. Wu received his medical degree from Shandon Medical University, China, and his PhD from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at Froedert Hospital, Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Wu is associated with Northeastern Rehabilitation and Pain Management Center in East Stroudsburg.

Christopher Yusko, DO will join the Consulting Staff at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital at Pocono Medical Center. Dr. Yusko received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He interned at Thomas Jefferson Frankford Health System in Philadelphia and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Kennedy Health System in Stratford, N.J. Dr. Yusko is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and is associated with East Brown Medical Associates in East Stroudsburg.
