Good Shepherd Adds Developmental Pediatrician to Staff
Nandini Iyengar, M.D., Is Only Second Developmental Pediatrician in Region

Nandini Bhargav IyengarAllentown—Nandini Bhargav Iyengar, M.D., FAAP, a developmental pediatrician, recently joined the staff of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. Dr. Iyengar joins Karen Senft, M.D., in providing care at Good Shepherd’s outpatient Pediatric Program, which logged more than 20,000 therapy visits last year for children with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, cerebral palsy and a host of other physical and cognitive conditions. Drs. Senft and Iyengar are the region’s only two developmental pediatricians.

Prior to joining Good Shepherd, Dr. Iyengar spent 10 years as a staff pediatrician at Family Health Center and an attending pediatrician at Gulf Coast Medical Center, both in Biloxi, Mississippi. Dr. Iyengar earned a medical degree from Mysore University, JJM Medical College, in India. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Iyengar is board certified in developmental and behavioral pediatrics and general pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
