Good Shepherd Celebrity Classic Gala to Feature Neil Golberg's Cirque
Proceeds Benefit Good Shepherd’s Pediatrics Program
Allentown—The 20th annual Good Shepherd Celebrity Classic Gala will be held Sunday, September 9, and will include mesmerizing performances by Neil Goldberg’s Cirque. The Gala will start at 6 p.m. at Lehigh University’s Stabler Arena.
The Celebrity Classic Gala will benefit children receiving therapy at the Good Shepherd Pediatrics Program. Since 1908, Good Shepherd has been giving special care to children. In fact, Good Shepherd’s first residents were children. Today, Good Shepherd’s Pediatrics Program logs more than 20,000 therapy visits each year for children with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, cerebral palsy and a host of other physical and cognitive conditions. More than $2 million has been raised by the Celebrity Classic for the Pediatrics Program in its 20-year history.
The Gala will include dinner, an auction and Cirque’s inventive Broadway-style theatrical performances. Influenced by many of Europe’s variety shows and cabarets, Neil Goldberg’s Cirque has been wowing audiences for more than 14 years with its signature performance style. The performance incorporates creative and original artistry in a seamless theatrical production with colorful costumes, amazing choreography and energetic music.
The Celebrity Classic is a Lexus Champions for Charity sponsored event. At the gala, attendees will participate in an auction that will include a trip for two to the Lexus Champions for Charity National Championship, which is being held this year at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California.
The cost of attending the Gala is $200 per person or $1,500 for a table of 8. Sponsorships for the event are still available. A portion of the cost of each ticket is a contribution to Good Shepherd and is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
