Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network Honors Volunteers
The Conrad W. Raker Volunteer Award Was Presented to Lewis Grammes of Slatington

Allentown—Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network recently honored its volunteers during a luncheon event and a dinner event. Good Shepherd has 300 volunteers who gave more than 23,875 hours to the organization in 2006. Good Shepherd’s volunteers range in age from 14 to 89 and perform a range of duties, from assisting Good Shepherd’s residents with activities such as bowling to escorting hospital patients to rehabilitation sessions.

The Conrad W. Raker Volunteer Award was given to Lewis Grammes of Slatington. Grammes is a former Good Shepherd patient who for the past four years has volunteered at the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Allentown. He provides support for patients and staff and delivers mail to patients. In 2006, he volunteered 1,009 hours.

Other volunteers who were honored for their hours of services were: Phil Scholl of Quakertown, 1,513 hours; Georgine Edwards of Allentown, 884 hours; Dot Theil of Telford, 752 hours; Michelle Botelho of Center Valley, 708 hours; Diane Washburn of Allentown, 700 hours; Harry Person of Mertztown, 596 hours; Ken Kissinger of Allentown, 572 hours; and Beverly Seibert of Allentown, 566 hours.

Volunteers with 20 or more years of service are: Beverly Seibert of Allentown, 47 years; Shirley McCormick of Allentown, 28 years; Milly Nagle of Catasauqua, 28 years; Lucille Stephens of Allentown, 26 years; Carol and Richard Vorholy of Bethlehem, 27 years each; Mary Dreisbach of Allentown, 26 years; Joseph Koch of Bethlehem, 25 years; Fred Reichert of Allentown, 25 years; Louise Rees of Allentown, 24 years; Shirley Baum of Allentown, 24 years; Myrna Chubb of Bethlehem, 21 years; Maur Levan of Allentown, 23 years; Ruth Morgan of Bethlehem, 23 years; Patricia Engler of Allentown, 21 years; and Janet Fredrick of Allentown, 20 years.
