Resolve to Get Fit With New Classes at Optimal Fitness at Good Shepherd
Unique Facility Offers Full Slate of Classes Including Aerobics, Yoga, Core Training and Mores

Allentown—Optimal Fitness at Good Shepherd, the unique fitness facility located in the new Good Shepherd Health & Technology Center, 850 S. Fifth St., Allentown, has released its schedule of fitness and wellness classes for the winter of 2007.

The diverse class list (see below) offers members of the public an opportunity to achieve a variety of fitness goals, such as increasing muscle tone and strength, promoting flexibility, losing weight and striving for heart health. Many of the fitness classes, including core strengthening, yoga and aerobics are held in a standard fitness room. Other aquatic fitness classes are held in Good Shepherd’s large, heated pool.

The gym at Optimal Fitness offers a wide variety of strength and cardiovascular training equipment, including treadmills, elliptical machines and weights. The facility brings expert assistance to members, in the form of an exercise physiologist, personal trainers and a state-of-the-art Fitness Advisor Program, which electronically tracks the progress of workouts.

The facility is also one of only a handful in the country that offers wheelchair accessible strength-training equipment.

Fitness Center memberships and classes are open to people of all abilities and age levels. Having a gym membership is not a prerequisite for taking fitness classes. For more information or to register for classes, call 610-776-3167.
