Multi-Trauma Rehabilitation
Good Shepherd's Multi-Trauma Rehabilitation Program offers a continuum of services for patients who have sustained multi-trauma injuries. Great care is taken to ease the transition from acute care to the rehabilitation setting and eventually back into the community. Patient and family are both considered an integral part of the rehabilitation team and are actively involved in all treatment decisions.
What is multi-trauma rehabilitation?
Car accident victims often suffer from a multitude of injuries ranging from broken bones to brain injury. Of course, car accidents aren't the only situation that can result in multi-trauma injuries. Rehabilitation for multi-trauma patients can be a difficult and long-term process and require the skills of many medical disciplines, from physiatry to occupational therapy.
