Massage Therapy
Therapeutic massage is an age-old modality used for the treatment of many illnesses and conditions. As part of the Good Shepherd Massage Therapy Program, massage is administered—under the supervision of physical therapists—by state-licensed physical therapist assistants with extensive training in manual massage techniques including myofascial release, deep muscle massage, trigger point therapy, and Manual Lymph Drainage.
Therapeutic massage is used as an adjunct to Good Shepherd's comprehensive physical therapy treatment program, which consists of activities designed to increase flexibility and strength, decrease pain, and improve functional ability. For more information on the Good Shepherd Massage Therapy Program, contact us today or call 1-888-44-REHAB (24 hours a day, 365 days a year).
