Summer Pediatric Boost Program
This summer Good Shepherd Physical Therapy – Souderton is offering an intensive short course of outpatient pediatric physical, occupational and speech therapy. Children will receive four to eight weeks of therapy, two to three times a week, to boost their gross and fine motor skills or speech skills. Children ages newborn to 21 are eligible to participate, particularly those who are receiving school-based services that have been interrupted for the summer and those who do not meet the 25 percent delay criteria for early intervention.
The program is for children who need extra strength, coordination, balance or language assistance (including those with Spanish as a primary language).
Good Shepherd’s expert pediatric occupational, physical and speech therapy staff, including an occupational therapist certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), will give your child the “boost” he or she needs to move forward this summer to reach functional goals. An individualized treatment plan is developed for each child depending on his or her age and needs.
Children with the following diagnoses can benefit from this program:
- Cerebral palsy
- Down’s syndrome
- Hypotonia/low tone
- Developmental delay
