David W. Lyons, CFRE, Vice President for Development  

David W. Lyons, CFRE, Vice President for Development
David joined Good Shepherd in May 2007 after nine years at KidsPeace as vice president of charitable giving and national director of major gifts. As vice president, he oversees all fund raising for Good Shepherd, including major and planned giving, direct mail and sponsorships. A certified fund raising executive and development professional since 1979, he has held key positions with Cancer Care, the American Cancer Society and Felician College. He is a graduate of Kean College of New Jersey with a B.A. in elementary education and lives with his wife, Dr. Pamela Shields and son in Lower Macungie. Jeannette Edwards, Major and Planned Gifts Officer  

Jeannette Edwards, Major and Planned Gifts Officer
Jeannette joins us with ten years of fundraising experience in key development positions at Muhlenberg College, Communities in Schools of the Lehigh Valley, The Trexler Game Preserve and Mayfair Festival of the Arts. Prior to her fundraising career, she served in the local banking community. She is a graduate of Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in business administration & social science and lives with her husband, Guy, and two children in Upper Macungie. Carol Carpenter, CFRE, Major and Planned Giving Officer  

Carol Carpenter, CFRE, Major and Planned Giving Officer
Carol comes to Good Shepherd with a wealth of fundraising experience in capital campaigns, and in major and planned giving services to nonprofit organizations. She was a senior consultant for Farr Healey Consulting LLC. Prior to that Carol worked for the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley where she played a key role with donors in the Tocqueville Society and the Women’s Leadership Initiative. She also served as director of corporate relations at Lehigh University. Carol holds a B.S. in mathematics from Moravian College. Fay Mackey, CFRE, Major and Planned Giving Officer  

Fay Mackey, CFRE, Major and Planned Giving Officer
Fay is a certified fundraising executive with more than 25 years of experience. Prior to joining us, she spent 11 years as director of development at the Matheny Medical and Educational Center in Peapack, NJ, an organization serving developmentally disabled residents and patients. Fay also has held key roles at ECLC of New Jersey, the American Cancer Society and the March of Dimes. She holds a master’s in education from New York University. Andrew Block, Major Gifts & Sponsorships Officer
Andrew joins us after serving on the staff of Congressman Charlie Dent in several key positions for the past six years. He is an alumnus of Parkland High School and Penn State and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Kutztown University. He and his wife, Dr. Christine Block, a family practice physician, live in Bethlehem Township are the proud parents of their first child, Joseph. Bob Levine, Grant Coordinator  

Bob Levine, Grant Coordinator
Bob has been with Good Shepherd for nine years after having served as director of development for the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter in Scranton. He is responsible for writing and coordinating Good Shepherd proposals to private, corporate and government grantors and for staying “in touch” with the trustees of local foundations. Bob also looks for opportunities that will help Good Shepherd expand programs and develop research capabilities.
